The studio is a local web app over the same run history the `reeval history` command lists. It shows every recorded run, each run's evaluations, cells, and attempts, and each attempt's transcript, diff, assertions, and judgment inputs. For more information about recording runs, see [Recording](/evaluations/runs/recording).

## Open the studio

The `reeval studio` command serves the studio on `127.0.0.1` and reads the history directory from the `reeval.config.ts` file, plus the unrecorded runs in the `.reeval/runs` directory. Open it in the browser:

```bash
npx reeval studio --open
```

The command prints the address and keeps running until you press `Ctrl-C`:

```text
reeval studio · my-app · .history/
  http://127.0.0.1:4984/?token=…
Ctrl-C to stop.
```

The address carries a session token, and the studio refuses a request without it, so open the printed address rather than typing the port.

The runs list opens first. A run opens to its evaluations, each cell's pass counts and, with `compare`, each variant's effect against the baseline. An attempt has **Transcript**, **Diff**, **Checks**, **Judge**, and **State** tabs, and a **Debug** tab when the attempt has a trace in the `.reeval/debug` directory. For more information about debug traces, see [Debugging](/results/inspection/debugging).

## Watch a run live

While the studio is open, a `reeval run` in the same project appears at the top of the runs list as soon as it starts. In a second terminal, start a run:

```bash
npx reeval run
```

The run shows a **Running** badge with the attempts finished so far, and each attempt's transcript becomes readable once the attempt finishes, while the run continues. When the run writes its record, the studio moves it into the history and keeps its address. A run whose process exits before it writes the record, or that produces no activity for fifteen seconds, shows **Stopped**.

## Export a static site

The `reeval studio build` command writes the history as a static site for readers without reeval. For more information, see [`reeval studio build`](/reference/cli#reeval-studio-build).

For more information about every flag of `reeval studio`, see [CLI](/reference/cli#reeval-studio).
